The McGnome Interviews

I'm a gnome and lover of Stamford AFC. I share my adventures  with a fixed grin and a silly hat. ...my namesake and Idol is Rogan McGeorge.

This page has been dedicated to share my interviews as I mingle with my first team pals. Enjoy!

Rogan McGeorge– Stamford AFC 21/03/17

Despite only signing for the Daniels in February of this year, Rogan McGeorge is fast becoming a fans favourite and one who we will be desperately hoping stays with us for the coming season.

The diminutive holding mid-fielder adds much needed bite and real quality to the mid-field.

A terrific work-rate and willingness to do the ugly stuff, namely breaking down opposition attacks, is coupled with excellent vision and distribution.

Despite not being the tallest, time and again he wins headers but has the composure and ability to lay it off to team-mates rather than be content to just clear the danger.

The other huge benefit of McGeorge in the holding role is that it releases Jake Duffy to get forward more and show his creative flair. This has been rewarded with three goals since McGeorge’s arrival, 2 from open play, including a delightful chip at Loughborough, and a free kick.

I caught up with my name-sake ahead of the 4-0 win over Northwich Victoria.
