Danny The Lion

Here comes a Lion !

The Young Daniels Foundation have adopted a new friend taking responsibility for the primary care of the clubs newest supporter, Danny the Lion.

Danny was recently spotted in town having pre appearance photo shoots whilst visiting many of the town’s famous buildings and popular places.

Raised in the deepest Borderville grasses Danny is a descendant of Stammie, Fordy and Rory the original three lions that have represented the football club on the official badge and other well known town based organisations.

Young Daniels Chairman Guy Walton shared the good news with www.theyoungdaniels.co.uk/  "Danny is committed to supporting The Daniels and will build friendships to reduce human conflict which is destroying and fragmenting lion habitats around the world. The importance of a club mascot for our young players is socially important. We play with three lions on our badged Daniels shirt. Danny will use his character to create a connection with our players sending important messages about football development/discipline whilst creating a vivid childhood memory for young people involved in our super football club".

Danny met several Young Daniels footballers last week during a visit to training on the clubs 3G football pitch and is looking forward to shaking paws with Daniels supporters at The Zeeco Stadium.

A Lions roar can be heard from as far as 5 miles away marking its territory. Let's hope his support will contribute to a roaring success v Wrexham.
